Typical Duties:
Report and Anchor live newscasts;
Enterprise and report news as assigned;
Make contacts and gather information about news issues and event in Arizona and California from which reports are written and edited;
Write interesting news stories from wire copy, field reports and telephone interviews;
Assist in production for newscasts;
Write and edit packages, voice-overs, and sound-on-tapes;
Write and report news for Clear Channel;
Write and report cut-ins, promos, and teases;
Generate story ideas for newscasts;
Establish a good working relationship with the newscast producer to ensure a well-paced clean newscast;
Produce newscast when needed
Represent station at community event;and
Perform other task related to the position as assigned

Requirements:
Passion for News!
Previous experiece desired;
Experience anchoring television newscast preferred
Strong, creative writing skills
Famimiarity with ENG
Ability to meet deadlines
Must be a team player who knows how to show and tell interesting stories on the air and in the field;
Ability to edit news copy and videotape
Newsroom computer experience preferred
Possess a valid driver's lincense with no DUI convictions
Typing skills and good phone etiquette
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pound of television equipment
Dilingual in Spanish helpful
